John Fitzrogers 
John was born in 1370 in Ashington, Somersetshire, England.1 John's father was John Fitzrogers and his mother was Elizabeth De Furneaux. His paternal grandparents were Aaron II Fitzrogers and Elizabeth De Holland; his maternal grandparents were Simon De Furneaux and Alice De Umfreville. He was an only child. He died at the age of 71 on October 4th, 1441 in Bryanston, Dorsetshire, England.1 General Notes

John was the manager of the vast Furneaux estates and bought
'Benham-Valence' and other properties in Berkshire and Dorset. He
received a Knighthood throu gh recognition of military service performed.
He was one of the wealthiest pe ople in his section of England. He and
Agnes had two sons, John and Thomas. H e died 4 October 1441 at his home
at Bryanstone. He is buried at St. Martin's Church there. His will was
dated 21 September and proved 10 November 1441 an d it was around this
time the 'Fitz' to the Roger name was dropped and ultima tely a terminal
's' added.
