Fokke was born in March 1900 in IA.1 Fokke's father was Folkert De Vries and his mother was Hiske Spieker. His maternal grandparents were Jurgen Dick Spieker and Anna Fluth. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Juren, Carl, Herman, Aje, Anna and Lenora. He was the third oldest of the seven children.General Notes
