Geoffrey De Vere 
Geoffrey was born about 1064 in Of Hedingham, Essex, England.1 Geoffrey's father was Alberic De Vere and his mother was Beatrice Gand. His paternal grandparents were Alphonso De Ver Of Ghesnes and Katherine Of Flanders; his maternal grandparents were Henry Castellan De Gand and Sibilla Manasses. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alberic, Roger, Robert, William, Alice, Roheise (Roesia) and Aethelaise. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
