Hannah was born in 1780 in <, Fauquier, Va.>.1 Hannah's father was Adam Sr. Darnell and her mother was Catherine Riley. Her paternal grandparents were Waugh Darnell and Mary ?; her maternal grandparents were John Riley and Elizabeth. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Adam Jr., John, Jenny, Betsy, Polly and Susan. She was the second oldest of the eight children.General Notes
