Charles I was born in , Vincennes, Val-de-Marne, France.1   Charles I's father was Philippe III Capet and his mother was Isabelle de Jaimez.  His paternal grandparents were Louis IX Capet and UNKNOWN UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Jaime I Pedrez and Jolan Arpad. He had three brothers named Louis, Philippe IV and Robert. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Louis, Blanche, Marguerite and Marie de.  He died on December 16th, 1325 in , Nogent-le-Rotrou, Eure-et-Loir, France.  He was buried in St. Jacques, Paris, Ville-de-Paris, France.1 1
