Adam II de was born about 1125 in <Skelton in Cleveland, North Riding, Yorkshire, England>.1   Adam II de's father was Adam I Brus and his mother was Ivetta de Arches.  His paternal grandparents were Robert I Brus and Agnès Pagnell; his maternal grandparents were William de Arches and Ivetta de York. He had a brother and three sisters, named William, Oswalda, UNKNOWN and UNKNOWN.  He was the third oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Hugh, Agnes and Maud.  He died in 1196 in Skelton, Howden, East Riding, Yorkshire, England.  He was buried in Guisborough Priory, North Riding, Yorkshire, England.1 1

‌Adam II de and Joanna de were married in a religious ceremony about 1151 in <Skelton in Cleveland, North Riding, Yorkshire, England>.2   They had a son and a daughter, named Piers and Isabel de.
