Samuel William Anthes 
Samuel William was born in January 1870 in Naperville IL.1 Samuel William's father was John Caspar Anthes and his mother was Louisa Fredericka Just. His paternal grandparents were Christian Wilhelm Anthes and Anna Maria Schmidt; his maternal grandparents were John F. Just and Milbrought. He had three brothers and five sisters, named John Frederick, David H., Jonathon William, Wilhelmina, Anna Mary, Sarah Anna, Martha Elizabeth and Emma Louise. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 87 in January 1957.1 General Notes
