James Sparks 
James was born on March 30th, 1897 in Jphnson Co, Ind.. James' father was William Sparks and his mother was Nancy Crawford. His paternal grandparents were George Sparks and Elizabeth Wells; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Crawford and Betsy Townsend. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William C., Absalom, Edward Sparks, Luanna, Katherine T. "Kate", Fanny Jane, Elizabeth and Margaret Ann. He was the youngest of the nine children.-
