Richard was born in 1748 in VA. Richard's father was *David I Prewitt. His paternal grandparents were *Richard (Sr) Prewitt and *Frances Murrel. He had six brothers named William, John, *David II, Charles (Sr.), Elijah and Samuel. He was the oldest of the seven children. Richard is no longer alive.-
