Robert de Alencon was born about 1050 in Montgomery,Wales.1 Robert de Alencon's father was Roger De Montgomery Vicomte and his mother was Mabel de Belleme, Dame d'Alencon. His paternal grandparents were Roger I De Montgomery and Josceline De PONTEAUDEMER; his maternal grandparents were William II Talvas and Hildeburge de Beaumont. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Robert II , Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger, Hughes , Earl of Shrewsbury, Philip, Roger "The Poitevin", Roger , Count of La Mar, Maurice, Arnulf, Maud, Matilda, Emma , Abbess of Almen and Sybil. He died on May 8th, 1131 in Warcham Castle.1 General Notes
