Matilda, Empress of Germany was born before August 5th, 1102 in London,Middlesex,England.1   Matilda, Empress of Germany's father was Henry I, "Beauclerc", King of England and her mother was Matilda, Princess of Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were William I, "The Conquerer", King of England and Matilda of Flanders. She had two brothers named William "Atheling", Prince of England and Richard.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Henry, Reginald de Dunstanville, Elizabeth of Gloucester and Constance.  She died on September 10th, 1169 in Notre Dame,Rouen,Seine-Maritime,France.  She was buried in Bec Abbey,Le Bec-Hellouin,Eure,France.1 1
