Judith, Countess of Northumbria was born about 1037 in Flanders,Belgium.1 Judith, Countess of Northumbria's father was Baldwin V, "Le Debonnaire", Count of Flanders and her mother was Adele, Princess of France. Her paternal grandparents were Baudouin IV, "Le Barbu", Count of Flandre and Otgiva de Luxembourg; her maternal grandparents were Robert II, "The Pious", King of France and Susanna, Princess of Italy. She had four brothers and a sister, named Baudouin VI, Count of Flandre, Robert I, Count of Flandre, Henry, Baldwin VI, Count of Flanders and Matilda of Flanders. She died in 1094.1 -
