David Cunningham 
David was born on December 24th, 1803. David's father was John Cunningham and his mother was Sarah King. His paternal grandparents were John Cunningham and Catherine Shuman; his maternal grandfather was John King. He was an only child. He died at the age of 77 on February 11th, 1881. He was buried in Rymer Cemetery,west of Mannington,W.VA..General Notes

Written on their monumnet, in part------I joined the Methodist church February 1, 1832; Licensed to exhort in 1835; ordained July 9, 1843; an Elder 1849. Conducted 300 funerals and preached 1400 sermons and for all this received $20. Taught 6 years in subscription and free schools; Justice of the Peace for 10 years; County surveyor 6 years; served three terms in the West Virginia Legislature. Married Charlotte R. Snider June 24, 1830. (This date is different from bible records)
