John Cowels

John was born in February 1642 in Hartford,Hartford,CT.  John's father was John Cowels and his mother was Mehitable Hart.  His paternal grandparents were James (Jr) Cowels and Mrs. Ann Cowels. He had a brother and five sisters, named Samuel, Hannah, Sarah, Esther, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 69 on May 12th, 1711.

‌John and Mehitable were married in a religious ceremony on January 5th, 1691 in CT.
