Harriett Louise Little 
Harriett Louise was born on March 9th, 1845 in Old Sparta, Edgecombe County, NC. Harriett Louise's father was Frederick Dinkins Little and her mother was Harriett R. Knight. Her paternal grandparents were Jesse Little and Frances Dinkins; her maternal grandparents were Willis Knight and Sarah Foxhall. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Leonidas LITTLE, Willis Knight, Jesse, Frederick Dinkins, John Henry, Mary Francis, Sarah C., Julia, Felicia and Lucy Dinkins. She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. She died in Aquilla, Hill County, Texas. She was buried in Prairie Grove (Greenie) Cemetery, Aquilla, TX.General Notes
In 1800, came to Texas with brothers Billy and Jesse, and o
ne sister, Sarah.
Frederick D. Little's estate was administered in 1855, an
d his widow and children became heirs to his lands. Thoma
s and Harriett may have lived on these lands; in any case
, their only deed in Edgecombe County is the sale of thei
r share of this inheritance in 1877, which must have been a
bout the time of their removal to Texas.
