Rohese was born in 1034 in Longueville, Normandy, France. Rohese's father was Baron Walter ("The Elder") Giffard and her mother was Agnes Ermentrude Fleitel. Her paternal grandparents were Osbern de Bolebec and Duchess Avelina Aveline deCrepon; her maternal grandparents were Gerard deFlaitel and Herleve D'Evreux. She had three brothers and a sister, named Walter Giffard II Earl of, Walter II, Elias I and Adelaide. She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named "The Elder" and Beatrice. She died at the age of 56 in 1090.General Notes
