John PAYNE

John was born in 1836 in North Carolina. John's father was John Payne and his mother was Sarah Paralee Walker. His paternal grandparents were Thomas PAYNE and Sarah Riley; his maternal grandfather was Unknown Walker. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Daniel W, Thomas G, Moses, George Washington, Letty, Rachel, Emily, Amanda Jane and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
