Thietburga of was born about 1037 in Chambery,Savoie,Rhone-Alpes,France.  Thietburga of's father was Amadeo I "Coda" Count of Savoy and her mother was Adelaide of Albon.  Her paternal grandparents were Humbert I Aux-Blanche Mains De Savoy and Auxilla (Von Lenzberg) Noyen; her maternal grandparents were Guiges I "The Old" Comte d' , Sire d'Vion Albon and Adelaide de Beaujeu. She had two brothers named Umberto of and Aimone of Savoy Bishop of.  She was the youngest of the three children.
