Alix de was born about 1117 in Namur,Flanders,Belgium,Netherlands.1   Alix de's father was Godfrey I, Count of NAMUR and her mother was Adelheid de Wolfatshausen Countess of Lechsgemund.  Her paternal grandparents were Adalbert III Count of Namur and Ide (Relinde) Saxony; her maternal grandparents were Count Otto II von Diessen-Thanning and Justizia, Margravine of Austria. She had a sister named Clemence. She had four half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named Henri II de, Henry IV Count of, Gebhard III von, Heinrich III von, Clémence de, Beatrix, Alix Alice De, Elizabeth Isabell, Gertrud von, Adelheid von, Berthe von, Mathilde von and Luitgarde von.  She died in July 1169.1
