Luitgarde von was born about 1115 in Sulzbach,Oberpfalz,Bavaria,Schwaben, Germany.1   Luitgarde von's father was Count Berengar II von Sulzbach and her mother was Adelheid de Wolfatshausen Countess of Lechsgemund.  Her paternal grandparents were Gebhard II Carolingians Count of Sulzbach and Irmgard von ROTT-VOHBURG; her maternal grandparents were Count Otto II von Diessen-Thanning and Justizia, Margravine of Austria. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Gebhard III von, Heinrich III von, Gertrud von, Adelheid von, Berthe von and Mathilde von.  She was the second youngest of the seven children. She had two half-sisters named Clemence and Alix de.  She died in 1162.1

‌Luitgarde von and Hugo X von were married in a religious ceremony in 1143 in <Sulzbach,Oberpfalz,Bavaria,Schwaben, Germany>.2   They had two daughters named Luitgarde von and Gertrud de.
