Alix De was born about 1225 in <Of,Carcassonne,,France>.  Alix De's father was Amaury VI (IV) MONTFORT and her mother was Beatrix De BOURGOGNE-VIENNOIS.  Her paternal grandparents were Simon IV De Montfort [Count Of Toulouse-Earl Leicester] and Alice De Montmorency; her maternal grandparents were Andre (Guignes VI) De Bourgogne COUNT OF GAP AND D'EMBRUN and Beatrix De Sabran COUNTESS OF CLAUSTREL. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Jean de, Jean De, Laure De, Marguerite De and Perronelle De.  She was the second oldest of the six children.
