Ioannes (Duke of Cyprus) was born in 1128. Ioannes (Duke of Cyprus)'s father was Andronikos Komnenos and his mother was Eirene Aineidasa. His paternal grandparents were Ioannes II Komnenos Dukas Emperor of Byzantium and Piroska (Iren) Princess Of Hungary; his maternal grandparents were Andronicus RHODACANAKIS and Theodora TARCHANIOTES. He had a brother and three sisters, named Alexios Komnenos, Maria Komnena, Theodora Komnene and Eudocia Komnena. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 48 in 1176.General Notes
