Henry De was born about 1193 in Huntingdon,Huntingdonshire,England. Henry De's father was David of Scotland Earl of Huntington and his mother was Maud Meschines Countess of Huntingdon. His paternal grandparents were Prince Henry of Scotland Earl of Huntingdon and Ada De Warenne; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de Keveliock 3rd Earl of Chester and Bertrade (Beatrix) Evreux de Montfort. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert De, John Le, Margaret of, Isabelle and Ada. He was the third oldest of the six children.General Notes
