Richard De Clare "De Tonbridge" was born about 1024 in Of,Bienfaite,Normandy,France and his baptism took place in Of,Brionne,Normandy,France.1   Richard De Clare "De Tonbridge"'s father was Gilbert "Crispin" Brionne and his mother was Gunnora D' AUNOU.  His paternal grandparents were Godfrey D'Eu & Brionne , Count Of Brionne and Heloise De Guines; his maternal grandparents were Fulk D' Aunou and Beatrice De Goz. He had ten brothers and two sisters, named Osbern De, Baldwin Fitzgilbert Of, Baldwin, Richard, William, Richard Fitzgilbert 1St Earl, William, Robert, Milo, William , 1st Lord of Bramber, Esilia Elsie and Ann.  He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He had a half-sister named Ann.  He died about 1090 in St Neots,Huntingdonshire,England.  He was buried in Priory,St Neot's,Huntingdonshire,England.1 1
