WILLIAM was born about 1163 in Bucham, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 WILLIAM's father was RICHARD de COMYN and his mother was HEXTILDA de TYNEDALE. His paternal grandparents were WILLIAM de COMYN and MAUD BASSET; his maternal grandparents were HUCTRED de TYNEDALE and BETHOE DAME de SCOTLAND. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, Odo (Odinell), Simon, David and Idonea. He was the youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother named HENRY EARL. He died in 1233.1 -
