ELEANOR (Alianore) was born in October 1292 in Caerphill Castle, Caerphill, Gloucestershire, England.1   ELEANOR (Alianore)'s father was GILBERT (Sir) "the Red" 9th EARL de CLARE and her mother was JOAN PLANTAGENET de ACRE.  Her paternal grandparents were RICHARD 8th EARL de CLARE and MAUD (Countess) de LACIE; her maternal grandparents were EDWARD I "Longshanks" KING de ENGLAND and ELEANOR (Countess) de CASTILE. She had two sisters named MARGARET and ELIZABETH.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother named THOMAS BARON.  She died at the age of 44 on June 30th, 1337 in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England.1
