ELEANOR (Countess) was born in 1244 in Burgos, Burgos, Spain.1   ELEANOR (Countess)'s father was FERNANDO III 'The Saint" KING de CASTILE and her mother was JEANNE (Juana) de DAMMARTIN.  Her paternal grandparents were ALFONSO IX EMPEROR de SPAIN and BERENGARIA HEIRESS de CASTILE; her maternal grandparents were SIMON II COUNT de DAMMARTIN and MARIE (Jeanne) COUNTESS de PONTHIEU. She had a brother named Ferdinand Comte. She had two half-brothers named ALFONSO X "el Sabio" KING and MANUEL FERNANDEZ de CASTILE &.  She died at the age of 46 on November 29th, 1290 in Herdeby, Lincolnshire, England.1
