‌John Jacob and France Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on February 19th, 1854 in Union County, Arkansas.¹   They had four sons named Franklin Pierce, Mary Louisa, John R. and William.

They had a son and a daughter, named Thomas Franklin and Nancy Elizabeth.
