Francis Elizabeth was born on September 27th, 1827 in Abbebille Co., SC.1   Francis Elizabeth's father was James W. Thompson and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Carmichael.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Thompson and Jane Boye; her maternal grandparents were Arthur Carmichael and Frances Bell. She had four brothers named William H., Arthur, Daniel James and James W..  She was the second youngest of the five children.  She died at the age of 71 on October 10th, 1898 in Coosa Co., AL.  She was buried in Unity Presbyterian Cemetery, Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 1
