Arthur Thompson 
Arthur was born on February 16th, 1823 in SC.1 Arthur's father was James W. Thompson and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Carmichael. His paternal grandparents were Robert Thompson and Jane Boye; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Carmichael and Frances Bell. He had three brothers and a sister, named William H., Daniel James, James W. and Francis Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 38 on December 11th, 1861 in Coosa Co., AL. He was buried in Unity Presbyterian Cemetery, Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 1 
Arthur and Matilda were married in a religious ceremony on August 26th, 1844 in Coweta Co., GA.1 They had four sons and six daughters, named John Daniel, Thomas, James, Robert, Frances Caroline, Amanda M., Mary Ann E., Jane, Nancy and Sallie.
