John B. Spradley 
John B. was born on April 4th, 1872 in Crenshaw Co., AL.1 John B.'s father was Thomas Harrison Spradley and his mother was Deborah Ann Welch Lowery. His paternal grandparents were Bryant A. Spradley and Frances Payne. He had two sisters named Bethinia J. and Viola Mahaley. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 57 on November 18th, 1929 in Vernledge, Crenshaw Co., AL. Beside John's and Malissa's grave is a slab gravestone that has inscribed
on it: Infant sons of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Spradley. There are no dates.
"John B. Spradley died at his home at Vernledge Monday Nov. 18th and was
buried at Live Oak the following day. Funeral services conducted by Rev.
W. T. Grider. Mr. Spradley was more than 50 yeras of age and is survived
by his wife and two children. It is said that he also has two sister who
survive him." (1)
