The 1790 census for Kershaw has Charles as 2 males over 16; two males
under 16 and 2 females. One of these we know to be Charles. In the 1800
Kershaw census Charles is in the 16 to 26 age bracket, thus it would
appear that he was born in 1774 to fit both cases. In the 1840 census of
Dooley Co., GA there is a Charles Spradley age 60 to 70 which would agree
with a 1774 birth year. With him is wife 50 to 60, son Charles A.
Spradley age 20 to 30, son James Spradley age 20 to 30, female 20 to 30
and a female age 15 to 20.
The 1800 census for Kershaw shows Charles, I assume born 1774, with a
female also 16 to 26 presumed to be his wife who in the 1840 census is
shown about ten years younger than he, so born about 1784. They had two
male children under ten, thus the males in the 1790 census were probably
not his children. One of the males over 16 could be Bryant Spradley and
the two males under 16 could be James Spradley and/or Bryant Jr., and/or
Dillard Spradley. by James Buckley.
Children of CHARLES SPRADLEY and UNKNOWN SPRADLEY are:
i. MALE (I)4 SPRADLEY, b. Abt. 1792.

iii. FEMALE SPRADLEY, b. Abt. 1798.
