[coosa1.ged] Hello Barbara, Jim Buckley here. Regarding Ravana Hawkins Spradley. You didn't mention a time frame. However, I have extensive records on the Spradleys courtesy of B. Elmner Spradley, Ron Bridges and of course my own research. There is no Ravana in those records. My suggestion: Bryant Spradley had a son named Bryant (JR.) and a brother or a son named Andrew. Both went to Tenneesee early on about the 1810's. This Andrew had a son also named Andrew Turner or Turver Spradley. Their lines have not been extensively explored. I have some notes on them which I'll check out later. When Dillard Spradley died, among his papers was a note due from his brother Bryant and on the back was written "I'm the best man in Tennessee". Try to check them out and let me know what you find. I am also researching the Payne line to try to find out the father of Frances who married Bryant Spradley (II), my ancestor. There were about three or four Paynes in Kershaw Co., with females in her age bracket, so it will take me some time to sort them out. Best regards, Jim "James Buckley, Jr." <j.buckleyjr@@worldnet.att.net>
