SKINNER OBITUARIES
PITT MILLER SKINNER, JR.
A 66 year old married white male of 1309 Douglas Avenue,
Brewton, Alabama.
died of cancer of the tongue with mestastisis at 11:30 a.m. on November
25, 1964. Dr. Eric Strandell was attending. He was born on October 23,
1898, in Castleberry, Alabama, to PITT MILLER SKINNER and ELIZABETH
CASTLEBERRY SKINNER. (death cert)
Funeral services were held from Craver's Funeral Home Chapel at
10:00 a.m. on November 27, 1964, with burial in Union Cemetary in
Brewton, Al.
Pall Bearers were GLENN HART, SAM SOWELL, PAT MOORE, JOHN
RICHARD MILLER, BEN KELLEY STRAIN, ROY EZELL, WALTER HENDRIX, SAM BUSEY.

Funeral services for MR. PITT MILLER SKINNER, JR., well known
Brewton resident, were held Friday, November 27, 1964, at 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Skinner died at his home on Douglas Avenue around noon
Wednesday.November 25, 1964, after an extended illness. He was a long
time resident of Brewton, living here for the last 37 years and was
associated with T.R.Miller Mill Company. Mr.Skinner was a native of
Castleberry, Alabama, and a member of the Castleberry Methodist Church.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Stanley Kelley from
Craver's Funeral Home Chapel and interment was in Union Cemetary with
Craver's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his widow, the former RUTH ELIZABETH JUSTICE
of Geneva, Alabama; two daughters, MRS. PAUL(MILDRED ELIZABETH SKINNER)
TIFFANY and MRS. FLOYD (OUIDA FRANCES SKINNER) EDDINS, both of Brewton;
one son, P.M.SKINNER III, also of Brewton: 4 sisters; MRS. LOUIE (BERTIE
SKINNER)COOPER of Brewton, MRS. TOM (ROSALEE SKINNER) BRAY of Mobile,
MISS NELL SKINNER AND MISS LOU SKINNER, both of Birmingham: 2 brothers;
OSCAR SKINNER of Brewton, and JACK SKINNER of Castleberry, Alabama: 4
granddaughters( SANDRA TIFFANY SIRLES-Birmingham, ANAH RUTH TIFFANY,
Brewton, KATHLEEN ADAIR TIFFANY, Brewton, and PAULA EDDINS SELLERS,
Brewton) and 1 greatgranddaughter( TIFFANY LYNNE SIRLES-Birmingham)

death of our beloved husband and father, P.M.Skinner.
