Josiah Washington Skinner 
Josiah Washington was born on November 3rd, 1820 in Clarksville, Tennessee.1 Josiah Washington's father was Josiah S. Skinner and his mother was Leah Garrett. His paternal grandparents were Emanuel Skinner and Elizabeth Moore; his maternal grandfather was Stanford L. Garrett. He had two brothers and a sister, named Washington Lee, James John and Mary Ann. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named William, Chaurstory, Letitia, Shany, Rebecca, Pamela, Lydia, Martha, Bathsheba and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 52 on February 17th, 1873 in Russelville, Kentucky. He was buried in Bibbs Chapel Cemetery.1 1 
They had four sons and three daughters, named Joseph Washington, William Lafayette, Pittser Miller, Sr., James Stanford, Mary Lewellen, Martha Lee and Mossie.
