Wyatt was born about 1788 in Oxford, Granville, Co., NC.1 Wyatt's father was Joseph S. Sears and his mother was Elizabeth Searles. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Sears and Elizabeth (?); his maternal grandparents were Thomas Searles and Elizabeth (?). He had six brothers and a sister, named Vincent, Anderson, Alfred F., Bishop Harrison, William, John A. and Frances. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died about 1863 in White Co., GA.1 General Notes
