General Notes

On January 16, 2002, I visited with Mr. Vernon Ryals from 1:00PM until
4:00PM at his residence on Appleton Road just south of Sandcut.
We talked about everything imaginable. Mr. Ryals was so interesting and I
sat there spell bound by his memory of local history and people.
He knew my grandfather, Will Garrett. He told me several stories:
1. Will had the first tractor inthe area about 1945.
2. Will was summoned to Mobile to serve on a federal jury. He was stopped
for going the wrong way ona one way street.[allison1.FTW]
