Lawrence C. was born on March 7th, 1909 in Conecuh County, Alabama.1 Lawrence C.'s father was Colmbus Aaron Ryals and his mother was Nancy Elizabeth M. Bodiford. His paternal grandparents were James Madison Ryals and Nancy Ann Garrett. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Clarence Lee, Clavron Columbus, James Washington, Vernon N., Lindsey H., Junior Lamar, Mamie E., Idell A. and Ila Mae. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 51 on December 29th, 1960 in Castleberry, Conecuh County, Alabama.
