Guss D. Rushing 
Guss D. was born in February 1878 in TX.1 Guss D.'s father was Solomon James Rushing and his mother was Silvina Rebecca Wilson. His paternal grandparents were William Cain Rushing and Mary Ann Rushing; his maternal grandparents were Edward Wilson and Mary Ann Goodwin. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James R., J. Henry, G. Irving, Richard R., William B., George, Nettie Mary and Jessie. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named Joe. He died in ?.1 General Notes

Gus and his wife lived in Roby, Fisher Co., TX until sometime before 1908
when son Paul was born was born in LA. They are on the 1920 Census for
Caddo Parish, LA. Pauline was born in LA as well as her parents. There
is a brother-in-law named Gerald Johnson, age 6, living with Gus and
Pauline on the 1920 census.
