Melinda Pugh 
Melinda was born in 1797 in Laurens Co., SC.1 Melinda's father was Jesse* Pugh and her mother was Lydia* Sims. Her paternal grandfather was Willoughby* Pugh; her maternal grandparents were Zachariah* Sims and Elizabeth* Graves. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Mastin B., Ira, Burrell B., Albert Downing, Lewis Harrison, Jesse C., Elizabeth, Mary Ann Polly, Mary* Ann "Polly", Adaline and Martha Ann. She was the second oldest of the twelve children. She died after November 1869 in Butler Co., AL.1 General Notes

Malinda was still living in November 1869, as she appears on a Petition
for Sale of Property in the Alabama Probate Office at Troy, Alabama.
Willoughby Sims Pugh and Jackson Gallent Kelly petitioned the court
on November 20, 1869, to sell land owned jointly by them and other heirs
of Malinda's mother, Lydia Sims Pugh. Malinda is listed as "Malinda
Stinson, widow, of Butler County, Alabama." This is evidence that she
died after 1869 and that Micajah had died prior to that date.
