Lewis Harrison was born on May 3rd, 1814 in Lincoln Co., TN.1 Lewis Harrison's father was Jesse* Pugh and his mother was Lydia* Sims. His paternal grandfather was Willoughby* Pugh; his maternal grandparents were Zachariah* Sims and Elizabeth* Graves. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Mastin B., Ira, Burrell B., Albert Downing, Jesse C., Melinda, Elizabeth, Mary Ann Polly, Mary* Ann "Polly", Adaline and Martha Ann. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 75 on May 27th, 1889 in Bullock Co., AL. He was buried in Salem Cemetery, Bullock Co, AL, near China Grove.1 1 General Notes
