Frances Pody

Frances was born in 1823 in Wilkes Co., GA.¹   Frances' father was Andrew Jackson Pody and her mother was Nancy Dudley.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Pody and Mary (?). She had two brothers and five sisters, named Henry Jackson, James, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Rebecca, Nancy Jane and Mahala Catherine.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 27 on December 31st, 1850 in Coosa Co., AL.  She was buried in W eogufka Baptist Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL.  Located 2 miles due south of Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL..^1 1 

‌Frances and John Alexander, Sr. were married in a religious ceremony on December 26th, 1842 in Coosa Co., AL.¹   They had three sons named David W., William A. and Henry Jackson.
