James Kearney was born in Coosa Co., AL.1 James Kearney's father was Charles Jefferson Miller and his mother was Almeda K. Thomas. His paternal grandparents were Henry Miller and Martha S. Bell; his maternal grandparents were Carney C. Thomas and Elizabeth F. Ammons. He was an only child. He died in ?.1 General Notes

"Dr. Kearney Miller, son of Mr. Jeff Miller, is the only doctor Flint
Hill(1) may claim as a native son. Mr. Jeff Miller was a member of
another church, but he and his wife were regular attendants at Flint
Hill. Dr. Kearney Miller moved early to Texas and was an outstanding
doctor of that state."(2)

Methodist Church of prominence named Flint Hill was located there.
