Mrs. Ruth Kyle Massey Kelley, age 47, died at the home on Airport Road
Wednesday night, January 20th, at 11 o'clock. Funeral services were held
at Liberty Hill Friday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Revs. Fred
Lowery, Homer Carroll, and R. W. Stuckey. Spigener in charge of
arrangements. Pallbearers were: Lee Spivey, Luke Chambers, Earl Melton,
Adron Daniel, Roy Enfinger, and J. W. Johnson: honorary--W. A. Varner, W.
W. Bishop, Ira Crowe, Oliver Mims, A. P. Taylor, Bob Powers, R. Hogue,
and dewey Rockett. Members of Mrs. Kelley's sewing club had charge of
flowers. The husband, M. M. Kelley, survives, as well as parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Massey of Clanton; 1 son, Marvis Kelley, Jr.; one daughter,
Mrs. Audell Melton of Clanton: two granchildren: three brothers--A. J.,
W. M., and W. W. Massey, all of Birmingham; two sisters--Mrs. L. J.
Patterson of Birmingham, and Mrs. J. A. Scoggins of Opelika.
