[coosa1.ged] "Benjamin Franklin Massey, age 74, died at the home in Mt. Pleasant community, Route 4, last Friday morning at 2:30 o'clock. Services were held at Liberty Hill Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. L. D. Brookshire and Rev. Fred Lowery. Masons served as pallbearers and conducted graveside services, Spigener directing. The wife, Mrs Osceonia Wilkerson Massey, survives as well as two sons--Wendell Massey and Alfred J. Massey, both of Birmingham, two daughters--Mrs J. A. Scroggins of Birmingham; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Son of Alfred D. Massey and Amanda Sharbutt Massey, he was born in Coosa County November 14, 1889. Frank Massey was a highly respected citizen of Chilton County, well liked and useful to the community.
