Napoleon B. was born on December 1st, 1843 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Napoleon B.'s father was Ellis Logan and his mother was Amanda M. Wood. His paternal grandparents were Henry Logan and Martha Ann George; his maternal grandparents were James Wood and Mary Reneau. He had five brothers and five sisters, named James C., George M. Dallas, Richard Loyall, Ellis, Jr., Commodore, Martha Eudora, Julia Ann, Mary Jane, D. Alabama and Virginia. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He had six half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named John, Alonzo, Claud, William, Addison Clarion, Amazon, Ella Armand Bell, Ursula, Ida, Ada, Fanny, Vera Dell and Erdele. He died at the age of 40 on January 1st, 1884 in Coosa Co., AL.1 General Notes
