Martha Eudora was born on October 6th, 1840 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Martha Eudora's father was Ellis Logan and her mother was Amanda M. Wood. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Logan and Martha Ann George; her maternal grandparents were James Wood and Mary Reneau. She had six brothers and four sisters, named James C., Napoleon B., George M. Dallas, Richard Loyall, Ellis, Jr., Commodore, Julia Ann, Mary Jane, D. Alabama and Virginia. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She had six half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named John, Alonzo, Claud, William, Addison Clarion, Amazon, Ella Armand Bell, Ursula, Ida, Ada, Fanny, Vera Dell and Erdele. She died at the age of 49 on July 13th, 1890 in Bankston, Fayette Co. AL. She was buried in Hopewell Cemetery, Bankston, Fayette Co., Al..1 1 -
