Henry Buford was born about 1798 in Pendleton District, S.C.1 Henry Buford's father was Joel Ledbetter and his mother was Catherine Brazelton. His paternal grandparents were Henry Ledbetter and Edy Clark. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Joel, Jr., Ephraim, Samuel B., Daniel A., Lydia, Edy, Mary Polly and Abby. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died after 1850 in Madison Co., AL.1 -
