Elmo Abbot was born on June 12th, 1894 in Blooming Grove, Navarro Co., TX.1 Elmo Abbot's father was Elmore Yancey Jordan and his mother was Jerusha Ingram. His paternal grandparents were Turner Eldridge Jordan and Susan Elizabeth Stough. He had three brothers named Turner, Leo and Sterling S.. He was the oldest of the four children.
