Kate Eileen was born on March 10th, 1880 in West Jordan, Salt Lake Co., Utah.1 Kate Eileen's father was William Hobbs and her mother was Matilda Barrett. Her paternal grandparents were William HOBBS and Ann OWEN; her maternal grandparents were WILLIAM BARRETT and Phoebe Colbourne. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named William, George Henry, Charles Washington, Thomas Henry, John Edwin, Albert Leroy, James Arthur, Sarah Ann, Laura Dora and Olivine. She was the third youngest of the eleven children.-
